Operating in this “new normal” has changed the way we take care of our staff, run our business and serve you, our special guests. We have re-examined our procedures and made safety enhancements throughout the Inn to offer you an even safer experience. Based on these findings we established new best practices, refined operational protocols and procured the necessary supplies to operate differently in light of the COVID-19 virus.
We are including an overview of our enhanced standards and would also be happy to personally answer any questions you may have. Rest assured, we are committed to maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
The health and well-being of our guests, associates, vendors and the community is — and will always be — our top priority. We are aggressively trying to minimize the spread of the virus and appreciate all the precautions you are taking as well.

For the comfort and safety of all our guests, we are limiting the Inn to only overnight guests.
We have implemented thermo-scans (touchless temperature checks) for all guests and associates prior to entering the Inn. Anyone with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher will not be allowed to enter and will be referred to a healthcare provider. Occupants riding in the same vehicle as someone with a 100+ temperature will not able to enter the Inn.
Masks will be standard for staff and encouraged for guests. We kindly ask that you bring your own face mask, but we will have a limited supply on hand.
We have clearly marked queuing areas to allow 6-foot social distancing recommendations. You may notice some furniture has been rearranged or removed in the lobby, dining room and porches to comply with the mandate.
To protect associates and guests, plexiglass shields have been added to our service areas.
We have streamlined the check-in process to avoid contact.
We are temporarily suspending cash transactions. Debit, credit or gift cards will be accepted to complete transactions. Signatures will not be required.
We have outfitted our housekeepers with personal protective gear, including face masks and single-use gloves.
We are issuing alcohol-based hand sanitizer to the cleaning staff for their personal use.
We are committed to following all cleaning and safety protocols recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and state and local health agencies.
We clean non-porous (hard) surfaces with EPA-approved disinfectants that are expected to be effective against the virus.
We have increased the frequency and intensity of cleaning, including regular sanitization of door handles, hard surface furniture, tables, nightstands, furniture knobs and handles, light switches and thermostats, telephone and keypad, television and remote control, safety latch and trash receptacle, faucet handles, toilet and shower handles, and other frequently touched areas.
For the safety of everyone, Inn staff will not enter occupied rooms; this includes housekeeping, maintenance personnel, front desk staff and others. In case of an emergency, a designated staff member will notify guests prior to entering.
We would be happy to deliver extra towels, and room amenities to your door or you may pick-up at front desk.
To help deter the spread of germs, we have removed all non-essential items such as magazines, information cards and irons from guestrooms. Irons may be requested from front desk.
All linen is laundered on the property using the warmest appropriate water setting for the items and dried completely.
We are conducting daily audits of the new health and safety measures we’ve put into place. Given the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, we are committed to continually making adjustments to improve cleaning and safety protocols.
We are happy to offer you dine-in service in our breakfast room from 7am – 10am Monday thru Friday and 8am – 11am on Saturday and Sunday. Coffee and tea service will still be available 24 hours but will not be self-serve; a staff member will assist.
We encourage you to wash your hands thoroughly, and/or use the hand sanitizer station near the dining area, before enjoying your meal.
For your comfort and safety, we have transitioned to cafeteria-style service versus our usual self-serve buffet. You can simply walk down the service line (which we have outfitted with plexiglass partitions and marked for safe social distancing) and let dining attendant know which items you would like. Your plate may then be picked up at the end of the service area.
Heightened cleaning measures will be in place.
We are committed to ongoing training to reinforce cleaning, sanitizing and disinfection procedures.
All personal hygiene requirements are being reinforced, with special attention to hand hygiene.
We have equipped all food service associates with personal protection gear, including face masks and gloves.

There is no higher priority for us than the health and safety of our guests and associates. These unprecedented times challenge us all to do what we can to help slow the progression of the COVID-19 health epidemic, and we want to do our part.
After careful consideration, the Grant Street Inn has made the difficult decision to voluntarily close the inn beginning Thursday, March 19 at 12pm until further notice. In the meantime, we will continue to monitor the situation closely. The inn will reopen soon as it is safe and prudent to do so.
We will continue to have staff available to answer your calls during normal business hours Monday – Friday at 800.328.4350. We appreciate your patience and look forward to serving you in the near future.

Additional Reservation Information
We want to assure you that while we are not accepting new reservations at this time, we are fully committed to honoring all existing reservations as conditions warrant. We are happy to continue holding your reservation for all trips scheduled after May 1. If anything changes, we will provide updates if necessary.
We also recommend that you contact us prior to your trip to answer any questions you may have. If cancellation does become necessary, we want to reassure you that we will not charge any penalties or fees if you do choose to cancel or reschedule your stay.
